Losing weight can be difficult, and even after losing weight, it can easily bounce back. In his viral video, Akshay Kakkar shared his story and how he resumed his journey.

Plus-size models and content manufacturers Akshay Kakkar are going viral to share their actual weight loss trip on Instagram. In early 2024, Akshay weighs 179 kg. He had an unhealthy lifestyle, often ate a lot of junk food, and he had no regular exercise routine. “I was spoiling my life and health,” he shared in one of his viral reels, saying that he had no realization of how badly his lifestyle was affecting his health. Over time, they developed diabetes, cervical issues (neck pain), blood pressure problems, and also became inactive and depressed. Eventually, he decided to focus on weight loss with a mixture of exercise and a healthy diet plan.
He said, “I started my weight loss journey on 14 February 2024, and by July 2024, I had reduced my weight by 179 kg,” he said that in just four months, my remarkable 24 kg weight loss was highlighted. However, due to unexpected health issues, his visit was stopped.
“I was quite low for the next six months and got back 10 kg. By February 2025, my weight again increased to about 164 kg. I was very sad to see an increase in my weight.” With encouragement from his doctor, he decided to resume his weight loss trip, but this time with a little less strict approach.
Akshay shared his weight update two days ago, and the reel went viral, already seen 1.4 million times. “From February 2025 to date, I have touched 155 kg again! I am very happy that I can’t express it in words. I’m back to the same point where I have left. Now, this time, it is my promise to me and my audience that I will not stop here – I will just move forward with full dedication.”
