Most children usually eat food cooked and served by adults. However, a simple act of cooking can be an enriching and delicious activity for your child. Hereâs a fun sandwich making activity you can try with kids. These fun open-faced sandwiches are delicious and look so adorable. From owls to dogs and bears, you can create different and cute animal faces on a piece of bread. Since these are easy and fun, kids can make them themselves with your guidance and even enjoy assembling their sandwich and eating it!
Here are 5 fun and cute animal-themed sandwiches for fun with kids:
1. Owl Sandwich

Hereâs a fun and creative sandwich youâve never had before. To make an owl-face sandwich, you need tomatoes, cheese (or boiled potatoes), carrots and pumpkin seeds. First of all, toast two slices of bread and place them on top of each other. You can add any filling of your choice between the slices. To make an owl from above, take two circular pieces of cheese or boiled potatoes for eyes. Place pumpkin seeds on the eyes. Now, cut the tomato rings vertically to obtain two semicircles. Place these at both ends for arms. Make small legs and nose triangles using carrots. You can place the legs on an extra strip of bread below. Your creative and delicious owl-face sandwich is ready.
2. Fish Sandwich
You canât miss this delicious and fun fish-shaped (vegetarian) sandwich. To recreate this delicious toast, you will need some cheese, cucumber, carrots, black olives and lettuce. First of all, take a big plate and spread the lettuce leaves on it like sea waves. Now tile a piece of bread not in a square but in a diamond shape. Add a slice of cheese. Make wings using semi-circles made from carrots. Make the eye of a large cucumber and top with a hollowed-out olive. Use half an olive for a sweet smile. You can also make bubbles by placing round carrot pieces in the salad. Fish toast is ready. Donât forget to take a picture before eating.
3. Dog Sandwich

To make this sandwich, you need an apple, banana, black grapes (or raisins), and peanut butter. Cutting apples into shapes can be a bit tricky, so itâs best to cut them yourself before your child starts collecting apples. Spread a little peanut butter in an oval shape on the bottom half of the bread to make the dogâs face. Now place three pieces of banana on the ears and nose. Use small pieces of black grapes or raisins for the eyes and nose. Finish the details by placing a bow-shaped apple between both ears or below the mouth. Super sweet dog sandwich is ready.

4. Bear Sandwich

Make the cutest bear sandwiches with the delicious taste of chocolate. Take a slice of bread (toasted or plain) and spread a layer of Nutella or any other chocolate spread on it. Next, take three pieces of banana and place them on the ears and nose. Use two blueberries (fresh or dried) for the eyes and add a single blueberry to the banana to accentuate the nose. Delicious and adorable beer sandwich is ready!
5. Cat Sandwich

This is a simple and adorable open toast with a cat face. To make this you need- almond butter, strawberries, blueberries and almonds. First of all, take a piece of bread and toast it if you want. Now spread almond butter on the surface. Cut the strawberries vertically into two halves and use them as ears. Make eyes with two blueberries. Now cut the almonds into thin pieces for the catâs whiskers. Make a small triangle shaped nose from the top of the almond. Enjoy adorable cat-faced toast!
