Our fridge is always flowing. Between the remaining, fresh yield, and a never ending lineup of spices, it seems impossible to squeeze into another bottle. While it is common to assume that the sauce is in the fridge, some simply fix out. In fact, refrigerating them can also make them mess with their taste and stability. If you are constantly struggling with fridge space, then there is some good news here – not all your favorite sauce needs to be cooled. There are six common sauces here that can sit happily at room temperature without a problem.

Here are 6 common sauces that do not need to be in your fridge
1. Soy sauce
Is your soy sauce sitting in the fridge? There is no need to be there. Thanks to its high salt content, soy sauce is naturally preserved and is completely safe at room temperature. In fact, chilling can also change its taste and texture. Just keep it tightly sealed in a cool, dark place, and it will last for months. Whether you are adding it to a stir-fries or dripping it on the noodles, the taste of soy sauce is best when stored outside the fridge.
2. Fish chutney
If you love Vietnamese or Asian food, fish sauce is necessary. It is made through strong, salty and slightly cowardly spice fermentation, which naturally preserves it. While the refrigeration will not ruin it, it is not necessary either. Fish chutney already has a long fermentation process, so storing it in the fridge can actually make it thicker and difficult. Place it in a dried place, and it will be fine.
3. Hot sauce
Most of the vinegar-based hot sauce such as thensco or Sriracha are designed to last outside the fridge. The combination of chili, salt and vinegar keeps the bacteria away, allowing them to remain fresh for months. Stored at room temperature can increase their taste over time. So, next time you hold a bottle of your favorite hot sauce, leave the fridge and find a dry shelf instead.

This can surprise you! While many people store ketchup in the fridge, it actually has enough vinegar and preservatives to stay stable at room temperature. This is why restaurants leave their bottles throughout the day. If you quickly go through ketchup, it is completely fine to keep it in your pantry. Just make sure that the lid is clean and tightly closed to maintain freshness.
5. Mustard
No matter that diversity – yellow, lamp, or whole grain – mustard is not required to reflect mustard. The Region? Like ketchup, its vinegar material acts as a natural preservative. Storage of it out also helps to maintain its smooth texture and bold taste. Whether you are slapping it on sandwich or whispering it in dressing, mustard does not require fridge space.
6. vinegar
This is the most considered spice, and the answer is simple-Vinegar is not bad. Whether it is white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, or bucket vinegar, you can safely store it in your pantry. It will not be spoiled, and in some cases, its taste can also improve over time. Use it as cooking, salad dressing, or even as a natural cleaner – vinegar is a kitchen required that never requires refrigeration.
