Short for intelligence quotient, IQ is a measure of a person’s mental ability and how it compares to the mental ability of their peers.

Ten-year-old British Indian boy, Krish Arora, achieved an IQ of 162, surpassing the estimated scores of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking – who are believed to be around 160. This score puts Kris in the top one percent of the most intelligent people in the world.
According to a news report by Metro, Kris has now been accepted into Mensa – ‘an inspirational, intellectual and social society’ and is also set to join the prestigious Queen Elizabeth School, the country’s top grammar school, in September. One of the schools.

Got 100% in math, even though it was very easy

Kris surprisingly scored 100 per cent marks in mathematics, which he said was “very easy”. Now, he is looking forward to getting started at his new school, hoping that it will provide a challenge more suited to his extraordinary abilities.
Krish, who lives in Hounslow, is not only academically brilliant but also musically, having won awards as a pianist. He currently holds a 7th grade piano certification, demonstrating his exceptional musical talent.

what is iq level,

Short for intelligence quotient, IQ is a measure of a person’s mental ability and how it compares to the mental ability of their peers. Popularized by French psychologist Alfred Binet in the 1900s, a person’s IQ level is measured using standardized testing, administered by licensed psychologists. Common standardized IQ tests include:
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Adults (WAIS-IV)
  • Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, Fifth Edition (SB5)

Can your IQ determine your intelligence?,

Your IQ level is a measure of your reasoning ability along with spatial visualization, memory and quantitative analysis. Although these can be important markers of intelligence, they are not the only ones. Furthermore, cognitive intelligence alone is not the only predictor of a person’s intelligence or success in life.
According to experts, various biological, social, and environmental factors determine how a person may score on an IQ test at any given time and what a person’s life will be like regardless of IQ measurement. This includes the person’s health, genetic history, social or economic status, access to education, and more.

How can you increase your child’s IQ?,

Activities that help you improve in various areas such as reasoning, planning and problem-solving include:

memory activities

These not only help improve memory but can also enhance reasoning and language skills, which are used as measures of intelligence, meaning memory activities can continue to develop intelligence.
Activities that involve memory training include jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and card games.

visuospatial reasoning activities

Visuospatial reasoning involves mental processes related to physical representation. For example, reading and interpreting a map involves visual and spatial reasoning and processing.

relational skills

Relational frame theory deals with human cognition and language development through relational associations.
Relational frame theory argues that the building blocks of human language and higher cognition are related, that is, the human ability to make bidirectional connections between things.

music

According to studies, just 75 minutes of music education every week for 12 weeks can significantly increase IQ scores in preschool-aged children. Furthermore, instrumental music training improves executive functioning in children aged 6–7 years.
