A reel showing a confrontation between an Ola Food delivery agent and a customer has taken Instagram by storm. Noida-based entrepreneur Aman Birendra Jaiswal shared the footage, in which he allegedly caught the delivery partner eating the fries ordered by him. When the video opens, we see the agent sitting on a motorcycle in an outdoor location. He is eating french fries from a box. His partner is sitting on another bike next to him. The agent asks the customer (who is behind the camera), “What is?” (“What happened?”) he tells the delivery partner while he’s eating his fries. The latter simply replies, “Yes, keep doing what you want to do” (“Okay, then do whatever you want”).

The customer then asks him why he did not place the order. The agent’s partner asks him about this and the customer tells him that what is in front of them (being eaten) is actually his order. The agent asks, “So what should I do?” (“So what should I do?”). The customer again wants to know why he did not deliver it. In the caption, Aman wrote, “@olacabs this is how your food delivery partners are doing their job first he said I will take extra 10 rupees to come, after refusing at first, somehow I said ok come I will give and then he made me wait for almost 45 minutes and when I looked for him this is what he said.”

The reel has garnered 3.5 million views so far. In the comments, many people have shared their similar experiences with Ola food delivery as well as other delivery platforms. Some were shocked by the attitude of the Ola delivery agent. Others compared the situation to the current state of affairs. Here’s what some Instagram users said:

“Brother is behaving like he owns the app.”

“It is similar to our tax deduction from TDS.”

“I tried to report a missing order and there was no option in the app. I stopped using @olacabs after this issue.”

“Same thing happened to me yesterday, I tried to order from Ola Foods, placed the order, order got picked, I got the contact details of the delivery guy, then the delivery guy didn’t come at all, he didn’t answer my calls. Then I came to know that there is no complaint or redressal system in Ola Foods or ONDC. Very disgusting. But somehow today afternoon I got a refund saying the order has been cancelled.”

“This behaviour by Ola has become so common that we have stopped reporting now. It is really surprising why no one takes any action. They know very well how dependent everyone is on Ola and our response does not matter to them.”

“This happens only with OLA. I have experienced this twice, even without sharing the OTP, and the order gets delivered. Also, COD is not available for food deliveries on OLA.”

We have reached out to Ola regarding the viral video and are awaiting their response.
