The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has issued a new hand baggage policySo, if you are planning to travel by air, it would be better to know in advance what the new rules say. The revised rules come in view of the increase in the number of passengers at security checkpoints before boarding ships.
Only handbags weighing up to 7 kg are allowed
Whether a passenger is flying on a domestic or international flight, they are allowed to carry only one handbag inside the aircraft and it can weigh only up to 7 kg. However, people traveling in business class can carry a handbag weighing up to 10 kg. Airlines The following dimensions are also specified: height should not exceed 55 cm, length 40 cm and width 20 cm. If a passenger has any extra luggage then it should be checked.

Another condition is that the total dimension of the handbag should not exceed 115 cm and if it does, one should be prepared for excess baggage charges.

Passengers who have booked their air tickets before May 2, 2024, are eligible for a discount of: 8 kg for economy passengers, 10 kg for premium economy passengers, and 12 kg for first or business class. Passengers who have made any amendments in their air tickets after May 2, 2024 will have to follow the new baggage policy.
