According to the Nuclear Regulation Authority, all 12 nuclear reactors on Kyushu and Shikoku are safe, of which three are currently operating. The Japanese government has also set up a special task force to monitor the situation in case of emergencies.

Emergency services are on high alert, and officials are urging residents to stay calm and follow safety guidelines.
