Seasonal flu cases on increase in Delhi-NCR
Hospitals across the region have reported an increase in patients suffering from pneumonia, bronchitis and other severe respiratory infections. The survey, which collected reactions from more than 13,000 inhabitants in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad, shows that more than 50 and young children are the most vulnerable for these viral diseases.
Who is more susceptible to seasonal flu?
According to the survey, people with pre -existing health conditions have a greater risk of contracting viral infections. People with comrades such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD and heart diseases are more than serious complications. The survey found that 63 percent of the respondents were men, while 37 percent were women, showing that flu cases are widespread in demographics.

How to protect yourself from seasonal flu
With an increase in cases of flu, it is important to take preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection. Here are some effective ways to keep yourself safe:
1. Strengthen your immune system
A strong immune system can help you fight seasonal flu. Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Include foods such as sour fruits, ginger, garlic, turmeric and green leafy vegetables, which have natural immune-boosting properties.
2. Stay hydrated
Drinking lots of fluids helps in removing toxins from the body and makes your respiratory tract clear. Herbal tea, hot soup, and water -rich foods such as cucumbers and orange can help maintain hydration levels.
3. Maintain proper cleanliness
It is necessary to practice good hygiene in preventing flu transmission. Wash your hands with soap and water, use alcohol-based sanitisers, and avoid touching your face, especially from touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
4. Rest enough
Lack of sleep weakens the immune system, making you more prone to infection. Make sure you get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night to allow your body to correct and fight the virus effectively.
5. Avoid crowded places
During the peak flu season, try to avoid crowded areas where the viruses can spread quickly. If you should go out, wear a mask and maintain social distance in public places.
