One of the famous snacks performed during the Holi Festival is Mathari, a charming snack that can be prepared in various ways such as fenugreek Mathari, Achari Mathari and Said Mathari. Mathari is a crispy snack that is enjoyed by people from all age groups and goes well with a warm cup of tea. The sweet version of Mathari, also known as fenugreek Mathari, is made by immersing the snack in the sugar syrup, giving it a sweet bend. These sweet maths can be stored for a month, making it an ideal snack for the preparation of Holi. Here is told how you can make confectionery fenugree
- In a bowl, take 2 cups of flour and add 1 teaspoon salt and ghee, mix all the ingredients well. Knead the mixture with lukewarm water until it makes a hard flour and keep it cover for some time. Once the dough is relaxed, make small balls and roll them with a round cutter or a small bowl to make them small size. Prepare all the math and keep them aside.
- Take a big pan or hard, heat the oil and set the flame in low heat. Add mathris to hard work, but do not stir them. Allow them to come on your own, and then flip them with a spatula, fry them until they turn golden brown. Remove the mathris from the oil and keep them aside.
- To prepare sugar syrup, take 2 cups of sugar and add a cup of water. Cook the syrup while shaking the syrup. When the syrup is ready, add this mathri and cook them until it thickens with the syrup. Turn off the gas and after a while your matri is ready. Watch the full video here:
