Claims were investigated to see hospital surgery

An investigation has been initiated in an investigation allegations that unauthorized people were allowed to look into the procedures in the hospital operating cinemas.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board said it was doing an internal review following âdepth relatedâ allegations.
An internal staff survey found that previous concerns about unauthorized people in theaters were raised, but were not completely investigated, the Health Board said.
âWe want to assure patients and their families that we are committed to providing safe and high quality care, and the patientâs safety and privacy is always highly important for us,â said in a statement.
It is not clear how individuals have access to operating theaters or who allowed them to watch surgeons at work.
The BBC Wales asked the Health Board to clarify whether unauthorized people were families of friends and employees, but said that it was âunable to go into any other detailâ and stated that the investigation was a âinternal and confidentialâ.

The Health Board stressed that theater procedures are highly sterile and the members of the public are not allowed to see the procedures regularly.
âThere are occasions when the members of the public have seen operations, examples include filming and filming for media packages to âsave life in cardifâ, although they are subject to strict policies and protocols, which are followed by all the time, especially in relation to the patientâs consent,â said this.
The Health Board said the review was expected to take 12â16 weeks, but the health board said âslight longâ, âsignificant contribution of colleaguesâ.
Wales Health Secretary Jeremy Miles told BBC Wales that he was âworried, as everyone must have been.â
âHe needs a thorough investigation,â he said.
âThe Health Board is now conducting that investigation and obviously I want to see what results will everyone give from that investigation.â
