Binadril recalls: Why has anti-allergic drug bottles missed?

In the US, more than 2,000 Benadril liquid nectar bottles were called back due to non-resistant packaging in the US. This recall affects the 100-mirali bottles sold on Amazon from July 2023 to October 2024. According to officials, the packaging of anti-allergies drug contains depanhydramine, an antihistamine that is taken in large amounts.

In the United States, the Consumer Safety Forum has reminded more than 2,000 bottles of Binadril liquid nectar at a possible poisoning risk for young children. According to the Consumer Excise Safety Commission (CPSC), anti-allergic drug which contains depanhydramine, an antihistamine should be in child-resistant packaging.
However, packaging for 100 ml bottles recalled was not child-resistant and took the risk of hair poisoning according to officials. The recall includes the Benadril liquid alixir, which is sold in a round dark plastic bottle, with a pink-and-white label with the word ā€œBenadrilā€ in the blue text.
Arsell from New York, Inc. Started recall, which affects some bottles of the Benadril liquid Elixir sold on Amazon.com. There has been no injury or incident in relation to the recalled drug so far. According to experts, dipinhydramine can be large amounts of harmful, especially for children. Because of this, it is necessary for the Poison Prevention Packaging Act that drug-containing drugs are protected in child-resistant packaging.

What to do with bottles if you are at home?

According to CPSC, anyone having 100 million bottles of Binadril liquid Elixir at home should immediately out of the children and either get the refund or just throw them away.

What is caused by a dipenhydramine overdose?

According to doctors, in overdose, can cause dipenhydramine:
  • Excessive sleep
  • Confusion
  • Sad dream
  • fast heartbeat
  • Seizure
  • Coma

It is advisable that the benadril should be taken as a pharmacist or a physician to avoid unwanted side effects. Beenadril makes you feel very sleepy because it has a sedative effect on the body’s nervous system. If taken close to bedtime, sleep may live in the next day.

Binadril also disrupts your hand coordination and response time due to stretching. Therefore, it is best to avoid driving while taking this medicine.
Doctors say that it is not safe for children to give Benadril to sleep. Clinical studies have shown that Benadril is not as an treatment as a treatment for infants and sleep issues. In addition, the risk of casual overdose is high in children.
