Can mold can grow in freezer?

Surprisingly, yes. You may think that the cold temperature of your freezer is enough to prevent the mold spread, but it is not. The mold can survive and even grow in cold conditions, although at a much slower than the warm environment.

The cold temperature does not kill mold spores, but only puts them in a passive state. The position of the moment becomes suitable again – such as when the food melts or moisture becomes in your freezer – then the mold can start spreading again. You cannot immediately notice the molding mold on frozen food, but if the contaminated food is stored in your freezer, Spor will be active again as soon as it gets a chance. This is the reason that you sometimes find mold on defrotted bread or lieholdover.

Another reason mold can manufacture in your freezer. Poor ventilation or frost accumulation. It simply produces enough moisture for mold to settle inside. Even your freezer can implicate rubber seal mold around the door if it is exposed to condensation and heat when it opens the door every time.
