A 59-year-old man who repeatedly missed his neighborhood and walked his office incorrectly, detected deadly brain cancer and was given to live for more than a year.

According to Paul Fletcher, these signs of oblivion were actually terminal cancer that came with seizures. Paul said he fell in front of his son Jack in the kitchen and was taken to the hospital. And after a wide check-up with MRI and CT scan, they were given the devastating news not only one but not only two tumors in their brain.

The owner of the Contract Cleaning Company revealed a grade four glioblastoma in adults – a common and aggressive primary malignant brain tumor, which featured rapid growth and invasion of the surrounding brain tissue – and currently it is considered incurable. Subsequently, doctors organized a cranialomy to remove as much tumor as possible after chemotherapy and radiotherapy to prolong their lives.

What were the symptoms of Paul?

According to Paul, he began to experience some oblivion earlier this year. He said, “Going for a job below the road, I missed the turn. I came back and missed another turn and thought, ‘This is a bit strange”, he said.

“When I felt my briefcase was stolen because it was not a place where I used to put it, but then it was still found in the office. We just closed it. We had no symptoms before that day – no headache,” he said.

While one of Paul’s tumors is killed, the other – a small line – still shines tumor cells or blood. Doctors hope that treatment such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy will also kill those cells.

Glioblastoma, or GBM is the most common type of malignant brain tumor that begins in the brain in adults. Cancer cells in glioblastoma tumors grow rapidly and multiply, and they can also spread to your brain and other areas of the spinal cord. Rarely, cancer spreads outside your brain to other parts of your body.
