I would not say that weight loss is an easy task, or at least, not as easy as weight gain. Your fat loss “travel” may feel like a never ending journey. Over time, it can be boring and mentally tired to see slow progress and minimal results. This may touch the level of stress sky, but unfortunately, quick-finished drugs are not really good, either. Therefore, many, sick are struggling with obesity, taking help as weight loss surgery, also known as bariatric surgery.
Although diet and exercise help in losing weight, sometimes, due to underlying health conditions, weight loss occurs next to impossible. When diet and exercise become ineffective, the role of fat loss surgery becomes important. However, the purpose of such surgical interventions is not only weight loss, but a person’s metabolic health improves and solutions to co-intelligence associated with obesity, such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.
While many understand the surface, what does weight loss surgery do, different types of surgery are catering for different needs. Therefore, we turn to a specialist, which helps us to understand everything about weight loss surgery better and in detail.
  • The most performed biatric surgery includes:
Gastric sleeve or laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG): Bariatric and metabolic surgeon at the Scod Clinic. According to Arush Sabarwal, gastric sleeve is a type of bariatric surgery that removes 75–80 percent of the stomach of surgery, which gives it a banana or sleeve shape. He said, “The size of the stomach is low, which is a decrease in appetite due to the lower level of gruelin hormone (‘appetite’ hormone). Lack of food intake is quite AIDS in weight loss,” they say.
Laparoscopic Rocks-N-Y Gastric bypass (RYGB): The first standard treatment of bariatric surgery, RyGB forms a small bag of the abdomen and re -connects a portion of the small intestine. However, Dr. Sabharwal says that it is no longer a cure for choice, due to complications such as candy canal deformity and internal hernia. “It reduces food consumption, and even decreases calorie absorption from food. The excess body weight decreases significantly, making it a great option for those with type 2 diabetes,” they explain.
Laparoscopic mini gastric bypass/one enestomosis gastric bypass (MGB-OAGB)“This new but widely accepted process creates a small abdominal bag and connects it to a loop of the small intestine. It provides excellent weight loss results – narrowed for traditional bypasses – with low operative time and low complications,” Dr. Sabarwal says.
  • Emerging process:
As the bariatric science advance, many new processes are attracting attention to their potential benefits in select patient population. This includes:
Intragestric balloon: A non-surgical option where a salicon balloon filled with saline is temporarily placed to create a feeling of perfection inside the abdomen. “It is suitable for individuals who are not candidates for surgery, but require short -term weight loss support. The results are minor, and the balloon should be removed within 12 months,” they say.
SADI: Dr. According to Sabharwal, it is a simplified version of the traditional duodenum switch. “It combines a sleeve gastrectomy with a small intestinal bypass, offering strong weight loss and metabolic results with less complications than the classic BPD/DS,” they explain.
SASI: A new hybrid procedure in combination with restrictive (sleeves) and malabsorptive components through a single connection between sleeves and ileum. Its purpose is to preserve pyloric function and reduce nutrients.
Transit bipolar: This surgery, he says, retains the pylorus and connects a bypass route from the sleeve to the lower small intestine, allowing food to travel through two routes. It increases early nutrient distribution and intestine hormone stimulation for better metabolic results.
Sleeve-plus procedures“These partial intestinal bypasses (eg loop duodenozing bypass or sleeve+Jejunozesunal bypass are customized combinations of sleeve gastrectomy,” says Dr. Sabarwal, “
