Fatty liver is a chronic condition when your liver accumulates too much fat – mostly due to obesity, high cholesterol or excessive alcohol intake. Doctors say that the condition leads to swelling in your liver besides fibrosis. And after a certain point, the fibrosis becomes irreversible, turning into cirrhosis – a mark of liver tissue.
In addition to internal effects, cirrhosis also appears in symptoms of external skin that may appear in your hands and palms. Doctors say that these are reactions to your body’s metabolism, hormonal and inflammatory changes that are associated with the condition.

Pigment

Liver cirrhosis leads to hormonal imbalance that causes liver dysfunction as it affects the role of the organ in metabolizing hormones – resulting in dyes in your hands and other body parts.
According to doctors, if you suddenly notice brown and black pigmentation on your hands and weapons, you need to check yourself well. Additionally, liver damage can lead to leakage of blood cells and iron deposits in the skin, which may lead to further pigmentation.

Red palms

Notice to red palms – a position also known as Palmer erythema – a possible symptom of fatty liver disease, especially in its advanced stages. This makes your palms look unusually red, often associated with blood flow and hormonal imbalance of liver.
According to experts, redness can also be found from the rash, and the skin becomes yellow when pressed. Palmer erythema is also not itching or painful generally; However, the skin feels warm for touch. Degree of redness varies, depending on many factors such as your person’s body temperature, physical activity and emotional condition. Doctors say that even though Palmer Erythema is not usually a harmful condition, it may be due to hormonal imbalances caused by signs around the base of the thumb and blood flow in the small finger and liver dysfunction.

Spider vein

Also known as telangiectasia, spider veins are small and thin blood vessels near your skin surface, especially on your arms and hands. Doctors say they can be caused by liver disease and cirrhosis due to hormonal changes, especially high estrogen levels.
These wounds are usually found on the upper body and can be distinguished by other skin conditions such as rosesia.

Sprinkling fingers

If you have an advanced case of liver disease, your fingers can be round and rounded – a condition known as clubbing. Doctors say that most of the condition is associated with low oxygen levels in your blood and indicates severe underlying health issues such as cirrhosis or liver fibrosis.
Typically, it is caused by an increase in peripheral blood flow with the spread of veins in the finger.

Itching

If you are enlarged on your arms and hands and suffer from chronic itching – especially if with other symptoms such as jaundice – this can be a sign of liver cirrhosis.
Doctors say that itching is often a result of the formation of bile salts in the blood, which can disturb your skin. However, doctors recommend that it is important to avoid scratching that itching as it can make cases very worse. Keep your nails small so that if you scratch, you are less likely to break the skin and open the door for infection.
