Story of real -life weight loss: 51 -year -old BSNL executive, Rajiv Garg changed his life by shedding 28 kg through volume nutrition and strength training. Fatigue, high HBA1C, and poor lipid levels, Rajiv turned to structured fitness, eventually to win bodybuilding titles and inspire others.

Story of real -life weight loss: Losing weight in your 40s or 50s can feel like a difficult fight. Despite killing the gym, cutting the junk, and trying to eat “healthy”, many people find persistence on the scale. The energy level dipped, inspiration fades, and despair is set. For Rajiv Garg, a 51-year-old BSNL executive, the story felt very familiar-until he did not discover everything that changed everything: a volume approach to nutrition and fitness.
Rajiv said, “I think I was doing everything right.” “I was going to the gym regularly, eating wisely – or at least I thought I was – but nothing changed. My weight remained around 95 kg, and I got stuck.”

Turning Point: From frustration to focus

Rajiv’s actual change began in 2020 when he met his friend and soon from the coach, Lavesh Bhagatani. It was through Lavesh that Rajiv was introduced to the concept of quantitated nutrition – an approach to track what you eat, understand your calorie intake, and balance macronutrients to suit their goals.

“Once I started following a structured diet plan and power training continuously, things changed. I lost 15 kg, and for the first time in the years, I felt as if I had control,” Rajiv says.
But travel was not without obstacles. Like many of us, he found it difficult to stick to a routine during family ceremonies or social programs. “The temptation is everywhere. But Lavesh’s guidance and support helped me stay in the course.”
With his weight 80 kg and body fat up to 15–16 percent, Rajiv maintained this new level of fitness for some time – until another opportunity came.

A new challenge: border forward

Rajiv Fitt’s Transformation Challenge came in 20 (TC20), which was founded by Jitendra Chauka, and decided to join it – at this time, with his wife Mamta. With weekly guidance from Lavesh, he fell from 82 kg to 67 kg, taking his body fat percentage into single digits.

When the idea of ​​competition at a bodybuilding event came to light for the first time.
“We said, ‘Why not take it a step ahead?” So we designed for ICN Surat 2024, a bodybuilding competition, ”Rajiv says.
The preparation was fierce. The final stages of fat loss were the most difficult, from the pangs and moods of hunger to the stress and low energy level management. “It was mentally and physically tax. There were times when my performance in the gym fell by 50-60 percent due to lack of calories. But every time I saw in the mirror, I could see my body changing. It kept on walking me.”

From office desk to bodybuilding stage

In March 2024, Rajiv participated in Shri Chandigarh Bodybuilding Competition, with second place in 50+ category. A month later, he stood on stage in ICN Surat 2024 and took the first prize of the house in 50+ divisions. He also earned finalists and runner-up spots in several other categories.

“It was real. I never imagined, at the age of 51, I will stand on a bodybuilding stage, let it win a medal alone.”
But Rajiv did not stop there. He focused his focus to obtain lean muscles, after a calculated calorie-surplus diet of about 2,300 calories a day and increased the intensity of progression. With this speed, he entered the TC21 and emerged as a runner-up in the masters category.

From learner to leader

Rajiv’s visit inspired him to move one step ahead – this time, academic. He enrolled as an Infes scholar, which aims to deepen his knowledge of fitness and nutrition to help others.

He said, “I know how difficult it can be to start, especially when you grow up or deal with health issues. I wanted to be able to guide others the way Lavesh directed me,” he said

wake up call

Rajiv’s inspiration was not just about aesthetics. Their health markers – HBA1C, lipid profiles, and liver function – were dangerous. Every day works like riding or working on the bike ended it. “As long as I hit 45 or 46, I could feel that leaving my body. I didn’t want to imagine how things would be on 60.”

Combined health intimidation with the correct support system set it on the path of permanent change.

Weight loss secret: discipline and guidance

What did you do for Rajiv? Expert guidance, stability and a mixture of community. “There were all differences from being a coach like Lavesh. I also followed the positions of Jitendra Chaukesi Sir and other fittr mentors, which inspired and informed me.”

They followed a calorie-ghat diet during the initial fat-loss phase and eventually infected for a surplus for muscle benefits. Shakti training was central for his routine. “I was really ready for my morning workouts. This gave me a sense of energy and achievement.”

Words of knowledge for others

For anyone considering your own change, Rajiv’s advice is simple but powerful: “Get a worthy coach. Don’t try to do all this alone. You need support-you need support-only for diet and fitness, but also for your mental goodness.”

He says, “Be patient. The first two years of my journey were inconsistent. The real change happened in a year when I was committed.”
