Over the years, a 32-year-old woman suffered a host of severe seizures, memory loss, and neurological symptoms that were caused by a splash in her leg, which was initially rejected by doctors. Billy Bedsar said, “I lost five years of my life because I was told that it was anxiety, depression, insomnia and WhatsApp.”

Billy, a resident of Gold Coast in Australia, stepped on a stick walking barefoot in his garden about five years ago. Even though Billy said that she herself was capable of removing its share, she still found something from inside. She later went to a doctor who performed an X-ray, who did not pick up wood, and assured her that nothing was left inside. Billy developed a fungal bone infection

Doctors said that the piece caused a fungal bone infection, triggering its neurological symptoms. “I was shocked and furious. Finally I had the verification for which I was fighting. The wood had a fungus, causing bone infection and disrupted my entire nervous system,” he said.

She is now facing a long recovery process, including treatment for nerve damage and systemic inflammation. “I am still in a lot of pain, and fatigue is stable, but I finally have clarity,” Billy said.
