Bhagyashree’s culinary stories have their own fan following. The actress often shares her food adventures on social media, which are a lot of fun. In her latest article in the “Tuesday Tips with B” series, Bhagyashree highlights a millet that has disappeared from our plate. Can you guess what it is? It is amaranth, also known as rajgira in India. She said, “Loaded with nutrition rich in vitamins and minerals like magnesium manganese, choline and lysine, millets help in absorbing calcium for building strong bones. It also contains iron and folate which is great for pregnant women as well as lactating mothers and it is the only millet that contains protein for muscle building. So, tell me what is it? It is Rajgira aka Amarnath. I remember, my mother used to feed me this Rajgira. There are many types of millets found in our country apart from wheat but maybe we have forgotten to use them. However, now due to the occurrence of gluten intolerance, we have remembered these forgotten millets again. So, today’s Tuesday suggestion is to include Rajgira in your diet and make your family strong and healthy.”

To make a smooth and cooling juice, she added spinach, coriander, celery and amla juice in a mixer and then strained the mixture through a sieve. The caption of her post read, “A glass in the morning will keep your skin glowing. Skin benefits, gut boosting properties and immunity. This green juice has it all. Try it.”
