Absolutely! You can use last night’s leftover chicken to make this delicious pulao. Instead of starting from scratch, use cooked chicken to skip the broth-making step. Simply marinate pre-cooked chicken with spices to enhance its flavor, fry it immediately, and you are ready to use it in your pulao. Fried Chicken Pulao Recipe | How to Make Fried Chicken Casserole

It is very easy to make fried chicken pulao at home. This recipe has been shared by content creator Pooja Korupu on Instagram. To make it, start with:

1. Preparing the Chicken

Take chicken of your choice. Wash it and put it in a pan. – Now add double the amount of water in it. Add bay leaves, salt and ginger-garlic paste. Boil until soft.

2. Marinating the Chicken

Once the chicken is boiled and the broth is ready, transfer the pieces to a plate. Now marinate them with salt, red chili powder, black pepper, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice. Coat the chicken well before adding curd and corn flour. mix well. Fry the pieces until they become crispy.

3. Preparing Pulao Ingredients

In a separate pan, add some oil along with coriander powder, star anise, a cinnamon stick and chopped onion. Cook until transparent. Then add tomato, salt and ginger-garlic paste and cook till it becomes soft. Before adding some curd, add spices-red chilli powder and garam masala. When the masala starts releasing oil, add chopped coriander leaves and green chillies.

4. Mixing chicken broth (yakhni) and rice

Add prepared chicken broth to the same pan and mix well. Once it boils, add the fried chicken pieces along with the lemon slices and soaked rice. Mix well and cover with a lid until the rice is cooked. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving hot!
