It’s been over 16 years, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah remains one of the most watched Indian sitcoms. Despite so many changes in the cast, the show continues to be a good draw among the audience. This is because some of the artistes, who were real contributors to the show’s success, are still an integral part of TMKOC. One such actor is Mayur Vakani, who is still a fan favorite despite his limited presence on screen.

Many actors have given their best to TMKOC, and the success of the show is not limited to any one person. Over the years, Mayur has played the role of Sundar with ease. A big reason could be that he is the real-life brother of Disha Vakani, who plays Daya Gada in the show. Hence, their chemistry seems natural and adorable. Apart from striking perfect tune with his real-life sister in the show, Mayur has established his place with his comic sense and quirky portrayal of the clever brother-in-law of Dilip Joshi’s Jethalal.

Over the years, Mayur Vakani has built his own fan following, and we can find some crazy memes about his funny scenes on social media. One cannot imagine watching a show without the occasional presence of Mayur. Apart from such love and appreciation from the audience, the actor also receives a good amount of salary from the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah makers.

Although the exact number is not known, it is rumored that Mayur Vakani is paid approximately Rs 25,000 For each episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. For those who don’t know, let me tell you that Mayur is not a regular character in the show, but he appears again and again. So, considering his limited screen presence, the actor is earning a handsome amount if the rumors are true.

If we compare it with Disha Vakani’s reported remuneration then Mayur Vakani is getting very less amount. For those who don’t know, Disha used to get 1.20 lakh per episode. So if we compare both then Mayur gets 76.16% less for every episode.
