Cyclone Dana: IRCTC cancels over 300 trains; See list here

The IMD claims that Cyclone Dana moved at a speed of 18 km/hr during the last six hours and lies over east-central Bay of Bengal. IRCTC has canceled more than 300 trains due to this. Know details here.

Indian Railways has canceled more than 300 trains due to warnings from Odisha and West Bengal. Cyclone Dana – Which is likely to turn into a severe storm on Thursday. South Eastern Railway has canceled more than 150 express and passenger trains. Some of these trains include Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, Kamakhya-Yesvantpur AC Express, Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express, Howrah-Bhubaneswar Shatabdi Express and Howrah-Yesvantpur Express.
East Coast Railway has canceled a total of 198 trains passing through and originating from Odisha. The list includes Howrah-Secunderabad, Shalimar Puri, Kamakhya-Bangalore, New Delhi-Bhubaneswar, Kharagpur-Villupuram, Howrah-Bhubaneswar, Shalimar-Hyderabad, Howrah-Puri and others. It has also canceled several express trains including Patna-Ernakulam Express, Kolkata-Puri, Puri-Kolkata, Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari, Bengaluru-Guwahati.
The IMD claims that Cyclone Dana moved at a speed of 18 km/hr during the last six hours and lies over east-central Bay of Bengal. In a statement, the IMD said, “It is very likely to move north-westwards and intensify into a severe cyclonic storm over north-west Bay of Bengal by Thursday morning. It is likely to cross north Odisha between Puri and Sagar Island. And will cross the shores of West Bengal.” “Severe cyclone during Thursday and Friday night.”
