The culinary world never fails to surprise us with its unique flavor combinations. You might have seen some of them while scrolling through social media. From egg pani puri to mango maggi and bacon with maple syrup, the list of food experiments is an endless affair. Some are surprisingly delicious, while others are justifiably worthy of praise. Recently, Jill Bakes, a digital creator has come up with another surprising recipe for all the food lovers. In a video posted to Instagram, Jill presented her “secret controversial curry ingredient” to viewers, sparking a viral online debate.

When preparing curry items, the primary ingredient used in making is spices, right? Jill Becks also likes to pair her curries with chocolate bars. Yes that is correct. The video shows the digital creator placing three bars of chocolate into a steaming pan of mushrooms, topped with some vegetables. “Have you added chocolate to any curry before?” she asked her followers in the caption before revealing that she uses Bounty Bar to cook her food.

One user was in disbelief when they asked, “Is that three rewards?

Another suggested, “I mean add something like dark chocolate but not like a bounty bar.”

A third user sarcastically suggested, “Someone, grate kaju katli on your fish and chips!”

Criticizing the recipe, one foodie said, “It’s a crime to call it curry”.

Another person wrote, “You have provoked a lot of Indians.”

“What a terrible day to be on Instagram,” one person lamented.

Expressing a different opinion, an enthusiastic user commented, “This is absolutely delicious. try it.”

Popular instant grocery delivery service Swiggy Instamart also made its presence felt in the comments section and confessed, “Every time I think I’ve seen everything, I’m proven wrong.”

So far this video has received more than 4 million views.

This is not the first time that chocolate has been used in inappropriate recipes. Earlier, the picture of a dish called Ferrero Rocher Manchurian had stunned the internet.
