Diwali is a time for family gatherings and enjoying delicious food. Sweets and sweets play an important role in the celebration. However, diet-conscious individuals and those with diabetes often find it difficult to enjoy these sweet treats. Even if you’re not particularly focused on your diet, consuming too many sweets at once can be harmful to your body. So, why not give your festive fun a healthy twist? Food blogger β€œCook with Parul” has shared a video on her channel showing how to make six delicious desserts that are sugar-free and can be enjoyed without any guilt. From Khajoor Pak to sugarless laddu, you can prepare these delicious dishes at home and celebrate the festival with joy.

Here are 6 sugar-free sweets for healthy enjoyment:

1. Date Pak

Protein rich laddu can be a great sweet to eat this Diwali.

Material:

  • Gum (edible gum)- 1/2 cup
  • Clarified butter – 4 tbsp
  • Cashews – 50 grams
  • Almonds – 50 grams
  • Pistachios – 50 grams
  • Poppy seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Coconut powder – 4 to 5 tbsp
  • Dates – 500 grams
  • Cardamom powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Dry ginger powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • grated nutmeg (a little)

Method:

  1. – Heat ghee in a pan and add gum in it. Keep frying it on low-medium flame. Take out the gum from the pan and let it cool. Meanwhile, grind the mixture of cashews, almonds and pistachios together.
  2. Fry this dry fruit mixture with some ghee. – Add poppy seeds to it. mix well. To enhance the taste, add coconut powder to it and mix everything well.
  3. Crush the roasted edible gum that you kept aside.
  4. Take soft dates, remove the seeds and prepare a coarse powder.
  5. Take some ghee in a pan and melt some ghee in it. – Add dates and cook until they leave the pan. Gradually add the mixture of powdered gum and dry fruits to it. Add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder for taste. Finally, add grated nutmeg and mix well.
  6. – Take a plate and place butter paper on it. – Spread some ghee and keep the mixture in a plate. Cut it into pieces and enjoy!

2. Protein Laddus

Material

  • Roasted peanuts – 1 cup
  • Sesame seeds – 1 cup
  • Oats – 1/2 cup
  • Dates – 200 grams
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • saffron threads (a few)

Method:

  1. – Take a pan and heat sesame seeds on medium flame. Once done, take them out in a plate. Let it cool.
  2. – Take dry coconut in a pan and fry it until it turns golden. Empty it into a separate bowl.
  3. – Take oats and fry them also. Keep it in a plate.
  4. Take a grinding jar and add roasted peanuts in it. -Make coarse powder of peanuts.
  5. Mix coarse peanut powder with desiccated coconut. Add sesame seeds and oats in a jar and grind both together well. Mix this mixture with the previous mixture.
  6. Take soft dates and add some water to it. Add it to the grinding jar and mix well until a thick paste is formed. Don’t forget to remove the seeds though. Cook this paste on low flame until it leaves the pan.
  7. Add coconut mixture to the date paste and mix everything slowly. To make it more delicious, add cardamom powder and some saffron threads to it.
  8. – Make laddus from the mixture.

3. Jaggery Mysore Pak

Material

  • Gram flour – 1 cup
  • Clarified butter ghee – 1 cup
  • Jaggery – 1 cup

Method:

  1. First of all, filter the gram flour before using it. Dry roast the gram flour on low flame.
  2. Add some ghee to gram flour and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps.
  3. Take a pan and heat water on low medium flame. Prepare syrup by melting jaggery in water.
  4. Grease a tray or plate. – Apply butter paper on it and make it smooth.
  5. Meanwhile, as soon as the jaggery melts, turn off the flame and add the gram flour solution to the syrup. Mix properly. – Now turn on the gas and cook the gram flour. – Add ghee to it and mix. You will see that it has started absorbing the ghee.
  6. Empty the batter into the tray and let it spread. Leave it like this for 20 minutes. Once done, cut them into square or rectangular shapes and your Jaggery Mysore Pak is ready.

4. Immunity Booster Laddu

Material

  • Almonds – 1/4 cup
  • Cinnamon sticks – 2 to 3
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1 tablespoon
  • Oats – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Ragi flour – 2 cups
  • Dry Coconut – 4 tbsp
  • Dates – 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
  • coconut powder

The process of making Immunity Booster Laddu is as follows:

  1. – First of all, lightly fry almonds, cinnamon seeds and fenugreek seeds together. – Add oats and fry them also. Let it cool for some time. After that, put the ingredients in a grinding jar and make a coarse powder.
  2. – Heat some ghee in a pan. Add a little black pepper powder, ragi flour and prepared oats mixture to it. Cook the preparations properly. – Add dry coconut to it and mix well.
  3. Mix some dates in a grinding jar. Don’t forget to add a few drops of water to it while grinding.
  4. Cook the date paste well. Add pre-prepared flour mixture. To enhance the flavour, add some cardamom powder and mix.
  5. Now, make the laddu and it is ready! You can wrap the laddus with some coconut powder.

How can Diwali be complete without a delicious message?

5. Sandesh Barfi

Material

  • Paneer – 400 grams
  • cardamom powder
  • Milk powder – 5 tbsp
  • Clarified butter – 1 tbsp
  • Jaggery – 1/2 cup
  • dry fruits

Here’s how you can make Sandesh Barfi

  1. – Take a piece of cheese and cut it into pieces. Put them in your grinding jar and make a smooth paste. Add cardamom powder and milk powder in it.
  2. – Heat some ghee in a pan and add some jaggery to it and melt it. Lower the flame and add cheese paste into it. Cook the mixture on low flame.
  3. Grease a tray with some butter and keep it aside.
  4. Meanwhile, when the preparation is cooked well, take it out in a tray. Spread well and cut into pieces to enjoy. You can further decorate it with dry fruits.

6. Laddu without sugar

Material

  • Almonds – 50 grams
  • Cashews – 50 grams
  • Walnuts – 50 grams
  • Pistachios – 2 tbsp
  • Melon seeds – 1 tablespoon
  • Dry Coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Dates (remove seeds): 250 grams
  • Raisin
  • cardamom powder

In this way you can make laddus without sugar:

  1. – Dry roast cashews and almonds together. While frying also add pistachios and walnuts.
  2. – Take out the dry fruits in a plate.
  3. – Take melon seeds in a pan and roast them until they turn golden.
  4. – Put dry coconut in a pan and fry it well. Once done, take it out in a plate.
  5. Put the dates in a grinding jar and make a paste. Yes, you can use water.
  6. – Put date paste in a pan and cook well on low flame. You will see a change in its color.
  7. Grind all the dry fruits together and make a coarse powder.
  8. Meanwhile, when your date mixture is ready, add crushed dry fruits to it. – Now add coconut powder and raisins in it.

Sprinkle some cardamom powder and mix well. Make laddus using that mixture.
