Delhi to Neemrana

In the Alwar district of Rajasthan, Neemrana is a historic town with a royal past. Neemrana Fort, built by the descendants of Rajput warrior-king Prithviraj Chauhan in 1464, was later restored as a luxurious hotel. Just a short distance from Delhi, the town provides access to the Sariska National Park, which is ideal for an overnight safari adventure. Here, you can stay at Neemrana Fort Palace to enjoy the historical ambiance. The rooftop views of the city create a magical setting, especially during autumn sunsets, perfect for tea and cookies with a royal touch.

Delhi to Agra

A short drive from Delhi, Agra is a must-visit for both newcomers and those returning to see the city beyond the iconic Taj Mahal and the ramparts of the Agra Fort. Add Fatehpur Sikri, a historical marvel built by the Mughal emperor Akbar, to your city itinerary, or visit the magnificent royal gardens of Itmad-ud-Daula and Mehtab Bagh, Agra. You should also set aside an evening to taste the many street delicacies in the city’s bustling Sadar Bazaar market, and buy a pair of fine leather shoes.

Delhi to Shoghi

While Shimla’s popularity has taken away some of its charm, Shoghi, just a short distance away, retains a quiet, crowd-free charm. Set in a lush green environment with old temples, hiking trails and outdoor adventures, Shoghi is an ideal weekend retreat. Tara Mountain, with its 250-year-old Tara Devi Temple, offers a serene historical experience close to Shoghi. We recommend making Shimla your base for visiting Shoghi during the day.

A little away from Delhi, the mysticism of Varanasi is worth a visit. Don’t miss a morning boat ride or a visit to the Mughal-style Ramnagar Fort. You can also add a day trip to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha is believed to have given his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. The huge Buddhist temple complex houses a museum and several temples that you can visit during the day.
