Doctors say that cardiac arrest is caused by an electrical problem, which causes your heart to stop beating. Famous fashion designer Rohit Bal has died at the age of 63 due to cardiac arrest. According to news reports, Hair was in the ICU for a week before his last show in October. He was discharged and then admitted to Delhi’s Ashlok Hospital on Wednesday, where he died of cardiac arrest on Friday.
Sunil Sethi, president of the Fashion Design Council of India, said doctors tried desperately for two hours to revive him.

Child was then diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy – a condition in which the heart muscle becomes weak and enlarged and, as a result, the heart is unable to pump enough blood to the rest of the body.
He was also on a ventilator for at least two weeks before being discharged.

According to experts, just before cardiac arrest – abnormal, rapid impulses suddenly overpower the normal electrical impulses that start your heart beating. Doctors say abnormal heart rhythms most commonly cause sudden cardiac arrest, with the most common life-threatening conditions being arrhythmia or ventricular fibrillation.
This is the irregular and disorganized firing of impulses from your heart’s ventricles. When this happens, your heart is no longer able to pump blood, leading to a lack of oxygen-rich blood for the rest of your body.
Without treatment, you can die within minutes. Some conditions that cause these abnormal heart rhythms are underlying causes of sudden cardiac arrest. Some of these include:

- recreational drugs like cocaine
- brugada syndrome
- coronary artery disease
- congenital heart conditions
- excessive physical activity or blood loss

Doctors say many of these problems reduce oxygen levels or reduce blood volume, causing your heart to stop working.
