After a week of broken eating habits and weight loss promises during Diwali, we are finally back to our regular routine and daily diet. The same applies for Shraddha Kapoor, who shared a light-hearted and relatable update on Instagram about her post-Diwali festivities. In her latest post – a carousel of pictures – Shraddha revealed that she is back to work and is trying to reduce the extra calories she gained during the festive season. But it seems she can’t stop thinking about crispy, sweet jalebis. In a playful tone, she thought about how the Diwali lights have dimmed, the rangoli patterns have faded, but one thing remains constant – the calories from those delicious sweets.
Her caption read, “The lights are down, the rangoli is gone but the calories of the sweets are still the same. End of break with green tea.” In one of the pictures, Shraddha is seen sitting comfortably on a sofa, holding a big box of jalebis in her hand – the syrup-dipped, crispy dish that is a staple during Diwali. Despite her efforts to return to a health-conscious routine, it’s clear that her cravings for festive dishes persist. Take a look at his post here:

Shraddha Kapoor’s Instagram update is a stark reminder of the universal struggle to get back on track after enjoying Diwali sweets. Interestingly, this is not the first time that the actress has shared her love for Jalebi. In March 2024, when she celebrated her 37th birthday, Shraddha not only cut the cake surrounded by paparazzi but also had a hearty meal with vada pav and of course jalebi. The actress was seen happily enjoying the sweet, proving that her love for Jalebi is truly unbreakable. Watch her birthday celebration with Jalebi here.

If you think Shraddha Kapoor only likes Jalebi, think again. The actress has a fondness for sweets which extends beyond jalebis. On one occasion, she gave fans a glimpse of her Sunday cheat meal, sharing a video of her enjoying sweets like Mysore Pak and Payasam. The video shows Shraddha jokingly keeping the leftover sweets in the freezer and the caption reads, “This Sunday moment deserves slow motion (This Sunday moment deserves slow motion)” and, “Today the mood to eat Mysore Pak and Payasam was quite cool. (Today’s Mysore Pak and Payasam mood was totally cool).” Read more about it here.

Shraddha Kapoor’s love for sweets is unapologetic, and her joy for sweet dishes is undeniably contagious!
