Nestled in the lap of Himalayas and a paradise for all nature lovers, Sikkim It holds the unique title of being the only state in India without a railway station. Strange isn’t it? However, the situation is going to change now as PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Sikkim’s inaugural railway station on February 26. On the occasion, Deputy Railway Manager, Alipurduar, Amarjeet Aggarwal highlighted the dual importance of Rangpo station for Sikkim and India. , He also informed that the railway station will serve both tourism and defense purposes.
Although Sikkim may be the only state in India that does not have a railway station, its natural beauty makes it a must-see place. From the famous Tsomgo Lake to hidden gems like Khecheopalri Lake, each lake has its own beauty and significance. Here are some of the must-see lakes in the state.
