The main objective of these parks is to create a forest-like environment and provide walking paths, yoga areas and bird watching areas to the people.

India has been struggling with poor AQI for some time. Keeping this in mind, Ahmedabad, Gujarat is going to get a new Oxygen Park It will have approximately 75,000 trees. This is a big step towards tackling pollution. The main objective of this project is to improve air quality.
This is not the first oxygen park that is being opened. Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Oxygen Park at Sindhu Bhawan in Ahmedabad. This park project is now also being built in other cities like Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Junagadh.
The main objective of these parks is to create a forest-like environment and provide walking paths, yoga areas and bird watching areas to the people.
Ahmedabad already has several oxygen parks – including Sindhu Bhawan Park, which is spread over 27,000 square meters with 1.67 lakh plants and trees. Another park in Science City, Hebatpur, has over 12,000 trees and shrubs spread over 4,000 square metres. The park to be built in Tragad will have 75,000 trees and plants in an area of 24,000 square meters.
Apart from Ahmedabad, many other cities are also joining this green mission. Rajkot has created an oxygen park featuring 150 species of plants. In Upleta, five small parks are being developed with local cooperation. Additionally, in Kutch, the Lions Hospital has created a park with more than 3,600 trees.
