Ambaji Temple
If you have taken the ropeway instead of the stairs, the first major stop on your trip will be the Ambaji Temple, which is situated at an altitude of 3,300 feet above sea level. Here, you will see many newlyweds worshiping Goddess Amba for a happy married life. The view from this temple is breathtaking, the surrounding hills and valleys offer a glimpse of the natural beauty of Gujarat. On the second peak, you will find Gorakhnath Temple and then Oghad Anasuya Peak.

Dattatreya Temple and kalika temple
On the fourth peak is the Dattatreya Temple, one of the most revered sites of Girnar, located on top of the mountain. The temple is dedicated to Lord Dattatreya, who is believed to have performed penance here. There is a temple dedicated to the three-faced incarnation of Vishnu. This part of the climb may seem challenging, but the serene temple and panoramic views are worth the effort. You can then make a final visit to the Kalika Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali.

Damodar Kund and Bhavanath Mahadev Temple
Once you are back at base, head to Damodar Kund, a sacred lake in the foothills of Girnar, and the surrounding temple. The nearby Bhavanath temple is also the site of the huge Bhavanath fair lasting five days in the month of Magha (January–February), which brings hundreds of Nagas to the city.

How to reach Girnar?
The nearest airport to Junagadh is Rajkot, located at a distance of 102 km from the city. You can reach Junagadh by road as well as by daily trains running between the city and Rajkot.
