A 40 -year -old mother of three years was told that she had incurable cancer when she went for a blood donation drive, after her holding a major symptoms. For Jenny Garner, the dangerously low level of iron was not only a normal drawback, but a diagnosis of bowel cancer.

After disclosing, the doctor underwent surgery to remove the tumor, part of its bowel and the surrounding lymph nodes, but months later his cancer spread to the lymph nodes behind the stomach and is now beyond treatment.

“When I went to donate, the blood drop was not completely submerged, which was an indicator of low iron, but I had only enough to donate. “That evening, I used to feel really ill, tired, struggling to breathe, and was dull, but I just put it down to give it blood,” he said. “So, when I was diagnosed, it came in the form of a complete shock. It was completely real, and it was all a blot.”

Currently, Jenny is undergoing fortnight chemotherapy sessions and will have another scan in eight to 12 weeks to assess the progress. He has also noticed alternative remedies, hoping that they can help him – including taking melatonin, which is currently used to deal with sleep issues, and eurmectin, which is used to treat parasitic diseases.
