Mumbai Street Food Scene is a shelter site for Pak enthusiasts, which offers a truck load of Flavorful Sevari Bits. From the iconic Vada Pav to the magnificent Bombay Sandwich: the list is complete with mouthwatering delytes. In many street food stalls, two outlets standing out are Swati Snacks and Sri Thecker Bhojanle. It is rare that you are in Mumbai and they have not tried their lip-smoking items. But do you think? Mumbai’s youngest politician Aditya Thackeray is an exception. The 34 -year -old has never accepted to go to any of these popular food joints.

In an interview with the Indian Express’ Screen ‘today, Aditya Thackeray revealed, “I have eaten in friends’ homes from these places, but in reality never got a chance to pay the journey of one of them (Swati Snaks and Sri Thecar Bhojanale). However, the politician admitted that he enjoyed the Bhaji Pao and Vada Pao.

Swati snacks
Established in 1963, Swati snacks came into existence as a small restaurant serving handmade ice cream and homemade chats. The outlet quickly gained popularity among families and friends, developing a loyal fan over the years. His menu consists of authentic Gujarati thalis, South Indian cuisine and of course, a medley of chaat items.

Some of his cute objects include panckey (pancakes bang in banana leaves), fada ni khichdi (casserole with curd), handwo (botanical cake made with fermented rice and lentils) and paddy dasha bhat (served with traditional Parsi Dal Rice).

Mr. Thacker Bhojanle
If you have a nature for both Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine, Mr. Takar is your ideal destination. Established in 1945 by Maganlal Purohit, the restaurant offers customers a delicious food and an array of thalis, which includes Persian, Anduuu, Gatta vegetable, millet rotala and dal bati chramma to make some names. His dessert is to die.

Mr. Thecker Bhojanale is also a celebrity-unlikely place, in which Bollywood stars such as Bhumi Pednekar, Nimrat Kaur, Vidya Balan and Farah Khan repeatedly saw the place. In 2022, it earned a place in the best cuisine list of 95 restaurants by flavor atlas.
