British singer Adele recently revealed a challenging health issue that left her in intense pain and temporarily impaired her hearing. during his las vegas The 36-year-old Grammy-winning artist shared with her audience during her October 25 residency show that she was battling a severe ear infection. He described it as “the most painful thing that has ever happened to me in my life”.
Sitting at her piano, Adele spoke about the experience, saying, “I actually got an ear infection, which is quite serious,” adding that it was her first encounter with an ear infection. For Adele, the pain was much more than she expected, even being compared to labor pain. Underscoring the intensity of the discomfort, she told her fans, “It was worse than childbirth.” Adele has a 12-year-old son, Angelo, with her former partner Simon Konecki and was recently engaged to sports agent Rich Paul.
According to Adele, the infection was caused by a rare waterborne bacteria, which was initially difficult to treat. “A rare water bacteria… (which) is very difficult to treat,” she explained. The singer revealed that she was initially given antibiotics which proved ineffective. However, after a few days, her doctors identified an antibiotic that began to ease her symptoms, gradually improving her condition.
Despite the pain, Adele managed to retain her humor and joked about her ordeal with the audience. She admitted, “There were times I wanted to cut my ear off.” Fortunately, the pain subsided and he is now able to continue performing without any problems. However, the infection left long-term side effects, with Adele experiencing temporary hearing loss in her left ear. “I’m a little deaf in the left ear!” He shared.
Despite the lingering infection, Adele did not let it hinder her performance. Over the weekend, he gave several shows and a particularly memorable encounter was when he saw another music icon, Celine Dion, in the audience. During their October 26 performance, the two singers hugged each other, both clearly emotional, creating a touching moment that instantly went viral. The heartfelt conversation touched fans around the world, especially as Dion also faced significant health challenges.
