After Mumbai-Ahmedabad, many new bullet trains are going to be launched in India; check routes
The Railway Ministry has asked the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for some more high-speed rail corridors apart from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor.

There is good news for all the travelers as India is planning to expand its high-speed train network. Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train This project will mark the beginning of a transformation in India’s rail network. After the completion of this project, plans are being made to run more bullet trains in the country.
The Railway Ministry has asked the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for some more high-speed rail corridors apart from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor.
The new corridors include:
- Delhi-Varanasi
- Delhi-Ahmedabad
- Delhi-Amritsar
- Mumbai-Nagpur

With a top speed of 320 kilometers per hour, the Bullet Train will usher in a new era of efficient travel. The current corridor will connect 12 stations, including major cities and towns like Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, covering a distance of 508 kilometres, is currently the only officially sanctioned high-speed rail project in India.
The construction work of the project is currently going on at a fast pace. According to reports, so far, 331 km of pier construction, 260 km of girder casting and 225 km of girder launching as well as 336 km of pier foundation have been completed. Apart from this, work on a 21 kilometer long undersea tunnel has also started.
