If you’re already packing your bags for a fun family vacation, you’re not alone. agodaThe 2025 Travel Trends Survey is here, and it’s all about relaxation, family fun, and discovering hidden gems! According to reports, travelers are exchanging their daily routine for relaxation and spending quality time with loved ones. Another unique insight is that theme parks are making a big comeback, with one in eight adventurers planning to step up their adventures in the coming year. The more the merrier: traveling with family tops the list
For many travelers, family time equates to quality time. More than a third of travelers (34%) plan to travel with family in 2025. Family trips are the best quality time for travelers, with 34% planning to travel with loved ones in 2025. Indonesians are true family travelers (58%) followed by Indians at 30%. Couples and solo adventurers come in at 23% and 19% respectively.
It’s easy to do: comfort is by far the biggest motivation for travel
According to the survey, escaping the hustle and bustle of daily life is by far the most important reason to travel. 75% of people say relaxation is their top travel motivator. For Indians, it is even more than 80%! After that, comes meeting family and friends (38%) and cultural exploration (35%).

The computer says ‘yes’: technical assistance in travel planning
Tech is making travel easier than ever, with 80% of travelers planning to use travel apps. Indians are the most tech-savvy, with 90% using apps to book trips. Virtual reality tours? The fun 12% are up for it too!
Travel with less: Travel more, spend wisely
Money matters, but that’s not stopping travelers! 65% plan to spend less than $250 per night on accommodation, with 70% of Indians considering budget the most important factor. Despite budget concerns, 87% of people still plan to take the same or more trips in 2025—especially internationally!
In and out of the office: traveling around the clock
Business trips are still a thing (28%), but digital nomads are now taking over! One in 25 travelers plan to work remotely while exploring new places. The Philippines leads the pack, with one in 14 travelers willing to combine work and leisure.

Adventure awaits, as 84% of travelers want to travel to new destinations in 2025. Inspiration can come from personal interests (71%), great deals (56%), recommendations from friends (33%), or even social media (20%). , Indians are loving the loyalty programs and deals that are making travel more rewarding than ever!

Theme parks are enjoying a moment, with 13% of travelers planning a visit in 2025. Indians are big into theme park thrills, with destinations like the UAE and Singapore offering rollercoasters and thrills for the adventurous.
