Dame Maggie Smith, the British actress known for a variety of iconic roles, has died at the age of 89. Tributes have been pouring in from around the world, as fans come to terms with the loss of a legend. Popular Indian dairy brand Amul also paid tribute to Maggie Smith in its own special way. Amul released a periodical in her honour, featuring the actresses as two of their most famous characters. In the illustration, we see Maggie Smith as Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess from the hit show, âDownton Abbeyâ. Behind his figure is a mirror in which we see him with a large pointed hat. Fans will recognize the character as Professor Minerva McGonagall from the Harry Potter films. Although these are among her most popular roles, Maggie Smithâs illustrious career also includes many other roles. He also acted on stage.
