Some 12 ounces (340 grams) bags of Broccoli Florates sold in Walmart Stores in 20 American states have been called back to possible listeria contamination. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) states that listeria monocytozens can cause severe and sometimes deadly infections, especially in people with young children, elderly and weaker immune systems. In a new update, the FDA has classified recall as “Class I”, which means that the product can lead to “severe adverse health results or death” according to NBC Chicago. Class I is the most severe recall classification.
On December 27, 2024, Braga Fresh voluntarily recalled a precautionary for a single production of 12 oouns marketside broccoli, which was washed and ready to eat. The affected batch was the best used date on December 10, 2024, and was no longer available in shops.

However, consumers who may later be frozen to use the product for use were advised not to consume it and leave it immediately. Contamination was detected during a random sample at a store in Texas.
According to the FDA, healthy individuals may experience short -term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, hardness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea after exposed to listeria. However, listeria monocytozens can also cause miscarriage and stylobarth in pregnant women. So far, no diseases related to the broccoli called back have been reported.
Earlier, the FDA recalled 6,000 bags of classic potato chips by taking 13 ozes under class I due to the presence of undeclared milk. Read more about it here.
