Reiki infusion shows improvement in all symptoms, high levels of satisfaction and qualitatively positive treatment experiences

A new study says the ancient Japanese practice of Reiki treatment may be extremely beneficial for some cancer patients as they struggle with extreme pain as a result of multiple treatment therapies.
According to research from Connor Hole Health at University Hospitals of Cleveland, those receiving Reiki infusions have reported clinically significant improvements in all symptoms, high levels of satisfaction, and a qualitatively positive treatment experience.

How does Reiki reduce pain in cancer patients?

The study findings, published in Journal of Pain and Symptom ManagementThe findings were drawn after tracking at least 268 cancer patients who received infusion treatments such as chemotherapyThe side effects of which are fatigue, nausea and anxiety.
Patients were asked about their level of various types of discomfort before and after 15-20 minute reiki session Given during his infusion treatment. In total, approximately 400 Reiki sessions were conducted.
Testimonies from patients said Reiki brought “clinically significant measurable improvements in all measured symptoms,” as reported in a Connor Hole Health news release. These included pain, fatigue, anxiety, nausea and a significant decline in well-being. Recipients also reported feeling relaxed, accompanied by positive physical sensations, supportive emotions, and gratitude. The researchers said that most patients requested another Reiki session.
However, the effects of the sessions were measured in the short term, so a long-term study will be conducted to see if the benefits last longer.

What is Reiki and how is it done?

Reiki is a Japanese energy-based therapy that is used to help ease some cancer-related symptoms, including sleep problems.
Born in the late 1930sicky It means universal life energy, and the therapy is based on the idea that a physician can promote Treatment and overall well-being By encouraging the flow and free circulation of the recipient’s own spiritual energy through touch or closeness.
The therapy, which lasts at least 20–30 minutes per session, is usually given alone or in combination with other complementary and conventional medical treatments. While practitioners usually perform Reiki close to the recipient, many believe it can also be done successfully from a distance.
During a session, a trained practitioner uses his or her hands to transmit life force energy while the recipient sits or lies fully clothed. The practitioner’s hands are then placed on or slightly above the recipient’s body to direct the flow of energy to where it is most needed. The therapist may also use hand positions on different parts of the body for two to five minutes at a time.
