Chicken Xacuti: How to make Goan Chicken Xacuti
Start by marinating the chicken in salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, coriander and green chillies for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, proceed to prepare a paste for this curry. You will need to heat oil in a pan and chopped chopped onion, green chillies, garlic and grated coconut. Once the onion is crispy, remove the mixture. Dry roast cinnamon, cardamom, ansided, papercorn, pope seeds, coriander seeds, Kashmiri red chillies, star anis, maize flowers, nutmeg and turmeric. Now, grind the onion-coconut mixture with roasted entire spices to make Xacuti paste.
Next, heat oil in a pan. Add marinated chicken and prepared Xacuti masala. Add water and let the chicken cook in gravy. Once the chicken is cooked through the chicken, the chicken xacuti gravy is ready!
