To promote tourism, China has announced visa-free entry for citizens of a total of nine countries. This new policy will come into effect from November 8. It said citizens of these countries will be allowed to enter China without a visa for up to 15 days for business, tourism, family visits or transit.
The list of countries includes:
- south korea
- norway
- finland
- slovakia
- denmark
- iceland
- Andorra
- monaco
- Liechtenstein
According to reports, China received 8,186 foreign travelers – a significant increase of 48.8 percent compared to the same period last year. Reports also show that about 4.9 million travelers to China entered through the already existing visa-free program.
