Constipation is a common digestive issue that makes the stool difficult or regularly occurs in bowel movements. This can be caused by many factors, such as low-fiber diet, high fat intake, stress, or insufficient water consumption. If you are struggling with constipation, eating kavifruit can help. According to a recent Instagram post by renowned nutritionist Dominic Ludwig, eating two kiwis a day can naturally help to remove constipation. Wonder how it works? read on.

Nutritional benefits of kiwifruut

Kiwifruute is an excellent source of vitamin C. Eating only two kiwi a day can help in promoting your vitamin C levels. They also provide vitamin, vitamin E and folate. In fact, Kiwi has double fiber and is three times more vitamin C than oranges.

Eating kiwifruits, especially with skin, can be a natural remedy for constipation. Studies suggest that kiwifruut helps to soften the stool, improve digestion and regulate bowel movements without rigorous laxatives.

Gold Kiwifruut and Research on constipation relief

A 2022 study found that eating two golden kiwifuits daily was effective as psyllium (a common fiber complement) to relieve constipation from eating constipation and make intestinal movements easier). Nutritionists say that the consumption of kiwifrut was associated with increased frequency, soft stool and low stress.

Another 2019 study used MRI scan to inspect the effects of Kiwi on digestion. The results showed that the kiwifruut helps maintain water in the intestines, soften the stool and promote smooth bowel movements.

How does Kiwi help in constipation?

1. High fiber material

Kiwi has a unique combination of soluble and insoluble fiber, which supports intestine health. The soluble fiber found in the fruit nourishes the intestine microbiome and adds bulk to the stool. Eating kiwi with skin causes fiber intake of about 5 grams per serving, which makes it even more effective for digestion. Kiwi skin contains insoluble fiber, which can help regulate intestinal movements. Always wash the skin thoroughly before eating.

2. Actinidin enzyme

Kiwi contains actinidin, a natural digestive enzyme that helps in breaking food, improves digestion, and stimulates the bowel. This enzyme increases intestine mobility and supports overall digestion health.

Kiwi vs Prunes – Which is better?

Many people drink prun juice to relieve constipation. However, a 2021 study compared Green Kiwifrut, Prunes, and Sizelium and found that Kiwi showed the best results. This provided effective constipation relief with low side effects and high patient satisfaction.

Adding kiwi to your daily diet-the golden or green-can support intestine and naturally help prevent constipation.
