You go to any extraordinary Bengali proliferation, and you will find a series of both non-vegetarian (amish) and vegetarian (Niramish) dishes. The texture in this gravy dish is sure to impress anyone who enjoys all things rich and nutritious. Dhokar dalana is paired popularly with steam to hot rice, but if you want, you can also keep it with hot luchi.

Chana dal cakes are fried and thrown into a gravy

The real challenge in this dish is to make cake, which you will learn over time, it is not so tedious after all. This recipe uses in a simple way:

  • Take a large plate and gently lubricate it with oil. Take the paste and put it on the plate. While it is hot, pat the paste with your hands and create a flat but slightly a small structure around the entire plate.
  • Now take a knife and cut the paste into small square or diamond shape. Allow the paste of lentils to cool and hard. Leave it for five minutes. When the structures are ready, take them out slowly.
