Eid al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of ‘Showal’, the tenth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Since the month of Chandra Hijri depends on the philosophy of the moon, the exact date changes every year. This year, Ramadan began on 1 March (Saturday), which means that sweet Eid in India is expected to fall on 31 March or 1 April 2025.
