We’ve found a delicious new spot in South Delhi for your weekend breakfast and lunch.

There’s a delightful new spot in Malviya Nagar, perfect for that lunch you’re planning. I recently visited Lychee Bistro and came away with a camera roll full of Instagram-worthy photos and a belly full of delicious food. This newly opened restaurant offers beautiful, colorful interiors as well as comfortable outdoor seating that works well at any time of the day. I went to Lychee Bistro for lunch, and since the weather was nice, I decided to get a table outside. The menu here offers a wide range of cuisine from France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan and other regions. Since this place just opened in July, unfortunately they didn’t have everything available on the menu yet. However, the staff was apologetic and polite and guided us to some delicious options.
Here’s everything I tried at Lychee Bistro, Malviya Nagar:
We started our brunch with cocktails and mocktails. I tried the Lychee Deck, made with rosemary and thyme-infused gin with tonic. The drink was crisp and very refreshing. Next, we had the Jamun Spiced Berry Mocktail, which came with chaat masala and Tabasco. This was a fun experiment worth trying!
I can’t eat brunch without salad, so we tried the Young & Wild Salad, which had rocket leaves, toasted hazelnuts, black olives, pickles and chicken sausage. The dressing, made with a chilli balsamic glaze, enhanced the flavor of the salad and it tasted amazing.
I found an exciting item on the menu – Loaded Kimchi Fries. As a fan of Korean cuisine, I could feel the flavor of the kimchi with the fries, although it was a bit subtle for my taste.

One of my favorite dishes from the Lychee Bistro menu is the Gochujang Chicken, which consists of juicy chicken pieces on skewers served on a small grill. The chicken tasted delicious with a sweet, spicy flavor.
I also tried the Chicken Cheeseburger Gyoza. Although the concept was appealing, the dishes turned out to be bland.
Wanting to try more drinks, we ordered the Ruthless, a signature cocktail made with in-house whiskey, fresh mint, lychee crush and cranberry juice. It looked beautiful in pink and the flavor was perfect, striking a balance between whiskey and cranberry. I also tried the Passion Fruit flavored Espresso Tonic, which is a perfect drink for those who like strong coffee and aren’t afraid of a little experimentation.
No café is complete without sandwiches and pizza. We tried the Croque Monsieur sandwich, perfect for cheese lovers, and the Very Truffle Pizza, which was soft and wonderful for mushroom lovers.
Dessert options were a bit limited compared to the otherwise extensive menu. We were recommended the French Toast, which looked beautiful and tasted good, although it didn’t fulfill the role of a post-brunch dessert.
