The state is now almost at par with the fluid -19 related to flu in the state.

According to state health officials, the US State of North Carolina has reported to be in record numbers during this respiratory virus season. The Northern Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said that more than 500 flu-related deaths have been reported for the 2024–25 respiratory virus season since reporting in about two decades, marking the highest statewide clan.
Northern Carolina’s Health and Human Services Secretary Devdutt Sangwai said in a statement, “These numbers will be even more without dedication to NCDHS Division of Public Health and Local Health Department teams, who provide flu education, distribute vaccines, and support the treatment and prevention efforts in all 100 counties.”
He said, “His work saves life every day.”
According to the disease control and prevention centers, the fatal related to flu in the state is now almost equal to the deadly during the Kovid -19 epidemic -which is considered a more serious disease than the flu. The CDC had reported more than 600 deaths related to Koronwirus in the state between October and April 2020-21.
According to officials, the cut in federal funding to the state has greatly affected their ability to protect the health and well -being of northern carolines, making the state sensitive to public health threats. In the last few weeks, the government’s efficiency department is cutting the federal task force and funding for scientific and health related research across the country.
