Forgiveness after womanâs body lay down in flat for 3 years

A council has apologized after being dead in a flat for more than three years after one of its tenants.
Laura humble, 41, was found dead in her flat in Woking by her mother and brother in May 2021.
On Tuesday, after the conclusion of interrogation of Ms. humbleâs death, the Wocking Boro Council apologized for failures within her housing service.
âSadly events caused her death and omission opportunities should never be allowed to be done to discover her body,â said Louis Strongathram, the strategic director of the council for the community.
Ms. Vinnam was a weak woman with schizophrenia, who was fragmented twice and cut relations with her family as she felt that they were trying to harm her.
Puchtach heard how Ms. Vinhamâs body was âmummified and almost skeletalâ when it was found in her council flat in Devonshire Avenue.
Its cause and death time could not be determined, but a calendar in the flat crossed by 1 November 2017.
Ms. Vinnamâs mother and brother found their remains after trying to contact her fatherâs health deteriorating.
Failures
Coronor Karen Henderson said that the Wocking Boro Council, its former property manager, New Vision Homes, Work and Pension Department (DWP) and Surrey County Council had All the opportunities to help Ms. Vinham missed,
Responding, Ms. Strongathram said: âWe would like to expand our deep sympathy towards Lauraâs family.
âWroking Boro Council Consils Accepting the findings of the coroner and the safety adult reviews, which by other agencies identified the failures within our housing service along with the deficiencies. We are really sorry for this.â
Ms. Strongathram said that the council is committed to addressing the issues raised and has started implementing changes.

He said that the council brought back its housing services in April 2022, to keep better control over that it supports weak tenants.
Claire Edgar, Executive Director of Adults, Wellbing and Health Partnership Executive Director Clair Edgar also apologized at the Surrey County Council.
âI regret that Laura did not get the support she wanted and I know the service has worked hard to take action on learning from the matter,â she said.
âWe will carefully consider the findings of the coroner to make every effort to ensure that our practice is as good as it can.â
Koroner said that DWP should take action after stopping the allowance of disabilities of Ms. humble, as she did not apply for personal freedom payment.
On Wednesday, a DWP spokesperson told the BBC that it was condensed with Ms. Vihenmâs family.
The spokesman said that the department has introduced new guidance of how to stop the payment to the weak claimants safely.
