The food safety team in Telangana conducted inspection in Rangareddy district and Kompally area on December 30, 2024 and revealed several food safety violations. The State Level Task Force team conducted inspection at M/s All Rich Dairy Private Limited (Swetha Diary), Pasumamula (V), Abdullapurmet (M) in Rangareddy district. Harmful chemicals like TGV 999 caustic soda (850 kg) were found at the location and are suspected to be used for adulteration. Several label defects were identified on the final products, including cross-branding and non-declaration of additives such as artificial flavors. Chemicals and disinfectants were found stored near final milk products such as cheese and flavored milk in the same refrigerator.

Given the nature of the violations identified, the establishment’s license has been suspended.

The task force team also conducted inspection in Kompally area of ​​Hyderabad on the same date.

In Malnadu kitchen, raw meat like chicken, mutton etc. was thrown in the refrigerator in an unhygienic manner which could lead to contamination. Rat feces were found at many places in the storage. At some places the floor was found unkempt and littered with food waste. The walls were found oily and tiles were found broken at some places.

The Task Force team has conducted inspection in Kompally area on 30.12.2024.

In the train theme restaurant, the floor was found to be worn and slippery and food waste was scattered at several places. The drains were found filled with food waste and stagnant water. Some food items were found lying on the floor in the storage area.

Lastly, at Ulvacharu, expired Crush (3 packs) and Kova (1 pack) and misbranded and expired food items (139 Goli Soda bottles) worth Rs. 14,936 were found and confiscated. Vegetables like tomatoes were found in rotten condition. Refrigerators were not kept in hygienic condition. The drains were found clogged and there was no arrangement for insect nets. The grinding area and washing area were found very unhygienic. The exhaust was found greasy and dirty.
