Tungnath – the highest temple
The world’s highest Shiva temple, Tunganath is situated at an altitude of 3680 meters. On your trip, expect unprecedented views of the Himalayas. Tungnath is also one of the famous five Panch Kedar temples of Uttarakhand. There is a trek to Tungnath, but it is one of the easiest treks recommended for beginners.
Chandrashila
This is the peak of the mountain where the Tunganath Temple and Chopta are located. Situated at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level, it is one of the best places for Chopta sightseeing. According to legends, Chandrashila is the place where Lord Rama meditated after defeating Ravana.

Bisurital
Bisurital is a tranquil lake situated at an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level. This lake is one of the most famous places to visit in Chopta.
Baniyakund
A must visit for all nature lovers! It is located in the Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary, overlooking the wide horizon of the Garhwal Himalayas.
