Here are 5 easy ways to brighten up your kitchen just in time for Diwali:

1. Clean the Countertop

There are a lot of activities happening on your countertop, from chopping vegetables to rolling out dough. It needs to be given some deep cleaning love! First, check what material your countertop is made of, and choose a cleaner that matches it. If it’s laminated, a mixture of vinegar and water works wonders.

2. Clean kitchen tiles

Let’s face it, oil spills can make kitchen tiles extremely sticky. To wipe those tiles, mix some detergent in warm water and soak a cloth in it. Got a stubborn spot? Grab a scrubber and go to town! For floor tiles, try making a solution of baking soda and salt in warm water. Spread it on the floor, and after a while, wipe it off for instant shine!

3. Tackle Kitchen Cabinets

Start by emptying your cabinets. Put some dish soap on a cloth and wipe the inside. Let your containers and utensils dry while you wash and dry them. Line the shelves with decorative paper to prevent any leakage and make cleaning easier. Then, put everything back neatly. If you find something you never use, consider throwing it away!

4. Clean the sink

Your sink does a lot of heavy lifting, from washing dishes to washing vegetables, so it can get pretty dirty. Mix a little detergent in warm water and scrub the sink with a brush. Wash it thoroughly later. For an extra boost, baking soda and vinegar are great natural cleaners!

5. Don’t forget kitchen lights

Often, we ignore lights and bulbs while cleaning, but they can become dusty and hazy. First turn off the main power, then remove them and let them cool. If they are just dusty, wipe them with a dry cloth. Even better, mix water with baking soda, soak a cloth in it, and gently wipe the lights clean. Wipe them again with a clean cloth and let them dry completely before turning them on again.

So, try these simple tips during your Diwali cleaning and make the job easier. Happy cleaning! happy Diwali!
