These projects will also improve accessibility to Khajuraho UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ajanta and Ellora Caves, Devagiri Fort, Asirgarh Fort, Rewa Fort and many other tourist destinations.

Good news for all passengers Indian Railways Preparations are now underway to make travel to some of the most religious places easier. Thanks to three new rail line projects in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Those planning to visit the Jyotirlingas in Nashik (Trimbakeshwar), Khandwa (Omkareshwar) and Varanasi (Kashi Vishwanath) can expect a smooth journey.
These projects will also improve accessibility to tourist destinations like Khajuraho UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ajanta and Ellora Caves, Devagiri Fort, Asirgarh Fort, Rewa Fort, Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary and Kot and Purva Waterfalls.
According to reports, the new projects include the construction of Jalgaon-Manmad 4th line (160 km), Bhusaval-Khandwa 3rd and 4th lines (131 km), and Prayagraj-Manikpur 3rd line (84 km), totaling 375 km. m. These developments are expected to reshape travel and benefit more than 1,300 villages and a population of 38 lakh.
Also, reports suggest that construction of these new lines will save 15 crore liters of diesel annually and reduce CO2 emissions by 271 crore kilograms, which is equivalent to planting 11 crore trees. It will also contribute to meeting climate goals.
