Although it is a staple in Goan households, this curry now has fans in different parts of the country. You can easily find it in restaurants across India. Recently, it received global recognition when it was included among the 50 best pork dishes in the world. The list was released by the popular food and travel guide, Taste Atlas. Food professionals from around the world prepared a rating of the best pork dishes. They evaluated dishes from different countries to prepare the list and gave them a rating out of 5. The post’s caption reads, “These are the best pork dishes in the world.” The post, shared on October 6, 2024, has already received over 7.4k likes and hundreds of comments. The top-rated pork dish was Colombia’s lechona, followed by Mexico’s carnitas in second place. Puerto Rico’s Pernil finished third, while Mexico’s Gringas took fourth. The fifth place went to Mexico’s Tacos al Pastor.
